About / The useful version
I build things.
Then make them better.
Designer by training. Founder by choice. Technical enough to understand how things get made—and always interested in what makes good companies work.

01 / Background
Not a conventional route. A useful one.
I grew up around industrial Yorkshire, discovered Photoshop at eleven, studied art from 2006 to 2009 and started at the bottom of a design studio. Later, I spent several years installing specialist laboratories in universities, hospitals and technical sites across the UK.
That mix still shapes how I work: care about the idea, understand how it gets made, and never confuse polish with substance.

Incorporated in April 2024 and full-time from August: building the company I wanted to work for, then becoming an employer.
03 / Principle
“Do things properly.”
That does not mean extravagantly. It means knowing the goal, choosing the right solution and executing it well.
04 / Beyond the work
A life, not a founder costume.
Family, sobriety and the people closest to me have changed how I think about ambition. The work matters. So does who I become while doing it.
